In the Bar à vin, in addition to the culinary tradition of the Aosta Valley, we try to recover the old “poor” recipes that embody the true and genuine tastes of our country: from tripe to cotechino, from gnocchi to tagliatella. And, as always, we do it “our way”, reinterpreting the teachings to give even more personality to the dishes and make them new and engaging taste experiences.

The Ancient Flavors | Once upon a time...

In 1991, in Aosta, Bottega degli Antichi Sapori was born. A small shop, unique in its kind, that offers the best products from the rich food and wine panorama of Aosta Valley, Italy and internationally.


In 2012, the Bottega expanded and created Le Bar à Vin: both were awarded by the best Italian guides such as “Il Gambero Rosso” or “Le Guide de L'Espresso” for their coherence and consistency in offering high-level experiences.


In 2020 it is time for a new transformation: the official restaurant of the Bottega, La Grenette, is born, a spacious, bright and welcoming place, focused on Italian, seasonal cuisine and the great classics.

The following year, finally, the last evolution: Trattoria di Montagna - le Bar à Vin is renewed following an original concept and goes from a diner to a restaurant, specializing in typical Aosta Valley cuisine.
